As one of the most successful country music artists of all time, Keith Urban knows about being on the road.
Urban, now 53-years-old, burst onto the country music scene in the early 1990’s with a unique style and sound. In 1991, the New Zealand singer released his self-title album in 1991, charting four singles in Australia. After finding success overseas, Urban made his way to the United States where his career really began to take shape.
He first found work as a session musician before starting his own band known as “The Ranch. The band would record one studio album, placing two singles on the Hot Country Songs Chart.
His solo debut album in 1999 put the singer on the map and would later receive a platinum certification from the RIAA. One of Urban’s biggest hits would come in 2004 with the release of “Days Go By.” It was the first single off of his 2004 “Be Here” album.

The singer performs the song in live shows and it has became one of his most recognizable and popular tunes. This video shows Urban performing the song live while on tour in 2008. The “Livin Right Now” tour brought him to Los Angeles, California, for this performance.
“Days Go By” became the country star’s fifth single to reach the top spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It would spend four weeks at the number one spot of the chart. Keith Urban cowrote the song with fellow songwriter Monty Powell.
The song’s music video won the Award for Best Video from Country Music Television (CMT) in 2005. With over one million copies of the single sold in the United States, the Recording Industry Association of America gave it platinum certification.
Urban is a multi-talented musician capable of playing a variety of instruments to perfection. He has been known to play the guitar, bass guitar, piano, mandolin and banjo during his career.
In 2011, Urban joined the Australian version of hit reality singing competition “The Voice.” He was one of four vocal coaches to take part in the show. He left the show after just one season but announced in December 2020 his return to the show for its tenth season.
