Musician Darius Rucker posed with a group of American women golfers and rooted them on before the Solheim Cup on Sunday.

The singer took some shots with them earlier in the week during the BMW Celebrity Match at the Inverness Club. The three-time Grammy winner also played alongside two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson.

The Toledo, Ohio event takes place between the United States and European teams. Pat Hurst is the American captain.

Darius Rucker is somewhat of a golf fanatic. He puts together golf fundraisers with his former band, Hootie and The Blowfish. Rucker, who is friends with golfing legend Tiger Woods, was a VIP guest of Team USA for the 2016 Ryder Cup. The star is also part of a sports agency that represents golfers, football players, and coaches.

Additionally, he tries to get on the links with his son, Jack, when possible.

Rucker in Ohio for Canfield Fair

In addition to golf, Rucker was performing about three hours down the road on Sunday at the Canfield Fair.

Rucker’s latest release is called “Road Trippin’,” and its first single is “Beers and Sunshine.” Another song, “My Masterpiece,” is hoping to get good reviews and airplay.

The singer-songwriter talked with the Youngstown (Ohio) Business Journal Daily about the Sunday concert and the upcoming release, which is still in progress. During the pandemic, Rucker was trying to learn the piano.

Darius Rucker said the record has “so many different kinds of songs – not all upbeat songs like “Beers And Sunshine” and “My Masterpiece.”

With concerts coming back, Rucker said it feels fantastic to be back playing to crowds. He said he “missed the energy” of fans and reflected on how lucky he was to perform for a living.

The Sunday show had tickets from $89.50 to $39.50. On Saturday, Darius Rucker played in Vienna, Va.

Rucker will play in New York City for the Sept. 11 anniversary. After that, he’ll head to the Northwest for concerts in Washington state.

Rucker Peforms During CMA Summer Jam

The singer-songwriter did a pre-taped performance of his new song, “Beers and Sunshine” at Nashville’s Fifth & Broadway complex.

According to Music Mayhem Magazine, Darius Rucker talked about the song before the performance. He said the 2020 song with some buddies.

He said he was honored to perform “the summery song” at the Jam and just wanted to “go there and have fun and try to bring some beers and sunshine to everybody.”

The three-hour-long CMA Summer Jam was a star-studded event.
