Dierks Bentley Drops Brand New Song ‘Beers on Me’ and it’s Everything We Need This Summer

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley just dropped his brand new song “Beers On Me” today. After listening to it this morning, we are definitely thinking about taking him up on that this summer. The brand new song features newcomers Hardy and Breland. The three diverse artists bring a new sound to a rather popular theme about a bunch of friends kickin’ it back and having some beers to let off some steam at the end of the week. While Bentley brings his classic, laid-back rhythm, Hardy and Breland contribute a newer hip-hop sound to the country song through the lyrics. Together, it’s definitely a jam we’ll be playing on repeat.

According to a press release, “Beers On Me” was born of an “organic collaboration” between the artists. Together, they split the song’s three verses furthering the unique flow of the lyrics. Bentley shared that he had read an article about and got the number to connect with the young artist, Breland, and from there the rising star completely diversified the song.

During an online press interview featured by Country Now, Bentley shared that newcomer artist Breland was actually a late addition to the song following Hardy. Bentley said of the three verses in the song, he would let Breland take the last. However, when Breland came to the studio, he added completely new lyrics and a new sound to the third verse and revamped it entirely. “He blew our minds,” Bentley said. Dierks Bentley Isn’t the Only One Featuring Rising Country Artists.

As Bentley pointed out during the press release covered in Country Now, rising country artists such as Hardy and Breland are set to change the course of country music. Because change is unavoidable, especially when it comes to music, established country stars like Bentley are beginning to turn to some of these new artists in search of new sounds and ideas.

Brantley Gilbert also featured Hardy on one of his latest tracks, ironically entitled “The Worst Country Song of All Time.” In discussing the creation of the song, Gilbert shared that it had originally been a joke that was laughed off. Newcomer Hardy came up with the song title, the group threw out some lines, and from there the song was born.

One other country music veteran, Keith Urban, also collaborated with upstart artist Breland recently. On one of the newcomer’s latest pieces, “Throw It Back,” Urban adds a smoother country sound to an otherwise upbeat party song. Listeners to the song can hear similar country music themes play through an otherwise entirely new and different sound and rhythm. With his feature on Bentley’s latest song, we are excited to see where the young artist goes from here.
