Just days before the highly anticipated event New Year’s Eve Live! Nashville’s Big Bash, headliner and country superstar Dierks Bentley is now sharing details about what viewers can expect this year.

During a recent interview with Taste of Country, Dierks Bentley stated that it’s long overdue for the city of Nashville to have a New Year’s Eve show. “When I found out that this big CBS special is happening in my adopted hometown in Nashville, I really wanted to be part of it. Because it’s a special moment for the city. It’s a special moment for country music.”

Dierks Bentley also stated there’s no reason why Nashville and country music shouldn’t be the number one thing that everyone’s watching at home on New Year’s Eve. “I can’t imagine it would not be the most exciting thing to see on TV for all the country fans out there.”

Dierk Bentley goes on to declare that he plans to make it an unforgettable night for country fans that are watching around the U.S. “I definitely want to make the show tailored to New Year’s Eve and that vibe. I really want to bring the part and make it fun. And especially if it’s cold out there, keep it up tempo. ‘M sure I’ll probably intro some songs with New Year’s Eve in mind.”

In regards to any collaborations he plans to have with other performers on New Year’s Eve, Dierks Bentley said he’d definitely be interested in teaming up with someone. “I’ve been looking around to see who else is also playing on the stage with me. And there’s some great artists. So if they’re hanging around, we’re definitely going to be pulling people up and trying to make it great.”

Who is Taking the Stage of ‘New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash’ With Dierks Bentley?

According to the CBS website, country music’s hottest superstars will ring in the new year during the New Year’s Eve Line: Nashville’s Big Bash on December 31st. It was revealed that there will be nearly 50 live, “high-energy” performances across multiple locations throughout Nashville that evening.

Among those who will be performing alongside Dierks Bentley at the New Year’s Eve Line: Nashville’s Big Bash is Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Sam Hunt, Riley Green, Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, and The Voice‘s Blake Shelton. There will be other artists that will be making an appearance at the event as well.
