Although Dierks Bentley is taking a break from the music scene and focusing on family amidst the coronavirus pandemic, he has still managed to release his new single “Gone”.
With tours and concerts being cancelled and the majority of the country being shutdown to slow the spread of COVID-19, Bentley and his family retreated to the mountains of Colorado where he is enjoying taking a break from the music scene and exploring the great outdoors.
Bentley tweeted he had been living with his family in a small town in March and was “making up for lost time with them.” He was sure to show love to his fans and thank them for their support.
Bentley has received more than 50 nominations from the Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music Association and Billboard Music. He also has 14 Grammy nominations.
The country singer is continuing to write songs, and will take to the stage once again when there’s a lesser chance of spreading COVID-19 to ensure the safety of his fans, staff and himself.
Bentley’s new song, “Gone”, is accessible on a variety of social media sites. Pandora tweeted lyrics from Bentley’s single.
“I gravitated toward it because I loved the title,” Bentley says. “Love a good, classic country wordplay. I just love the groove and I love the way it feels.”
Bentley continues to explain his logic behind the song in the video. The most important factor? It being something his listeners will enjoy.
“It’s fun to listen to, and I just wanted to put something out that you enjoy listening to.”
