Dierks Bentley is spending the day teasing fans.

However, it’s in the best way possible. The country artist has recently released his song “Gone.” Now he has released a sneak peek of the video he’s been making to go along with it.

The video will be out and “Gone” tomorrow for fans to view at 10 a.m. ET

He teased the video by saying, “It may look like I’m just laying around… but 13 different characters later… well… you’ll see in the new music video #gone…out tomorrow. Can’t wait for y’all to see it.”

Bentley Teases ‘Gone’ Video

In the video, Bentley is appearing as one of his “characters.” He is seen laying down in a bed with some old, grey sweatpants, outgrown hair, and a beer to his left.

It looks like the singer is situated in an old motel room of some kind.

It seems to perfectly capture the lyrics: “Took a trip down memory lane / Checked into hotel heartbreak / Passed rock bottom on the way / Without leaving my living room.”

The artist’s song is all about what it means to be “Gone.” The song tells the story of the feeling that comes from being away from someone you love. Bentley has also said that he considers it a metaphor for how he’s been feeling during the quarantine.

“I feel like we’ve all been gone … like country music in 2020 is just gone. So it touches on a little bit of the idea of what’s been going on here with COVID, but it does in a metaphorical way, through a relationship. I don’t think anybody wants to hear anything written too directly about what’s happening right now; it’d be too depressing …” according to The Boot.

Every artist is doing their own thing in 2020. While some have seen it as an opportunity to take time writing and recording music, others have seen it as a way to take a step back and escape from the craziness of everything.

Bentley has been a little bit of both. Bentley worked on making and recording “Gone” and the music video for it. He has also been spending more time with his family in a remote part of Colorado.

Dierks Bentley’s Previous Videos

Bentley has been making music for fans since 2003. Since then he has also been making videos to go along with his hit songs.

The artist has also won awards for his videos in the past. His video for “Drunk on a Plane” won Music Video of the Year in 2014 at the CMA Awards. The video also won at the Acadamy of Country Music Awards in 2015.

The video currently has nearly 90 million views on YouTube. In this video, Bentley plays the “character” of both a pilot as well as himself partying in a plane. Besides a full-blown party on the plane, the main character is getting drunk to get through a recent breakup. His ex was supposed to be on the trip. Now, instead, he meets a new girl on the plane and even gives her a drunken engagement ring.

The song mixes well with other party songs like Toby Keith’s “Red Solo Cup” that took the world by storm in 2011.

In 2004, his video “What Was I Thinkin'” won Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards.

This throwback video from 2009 features a curly-haired Dierks Bentley starring as the main character in his video. The video tells the story of Becky and her crazy antics. Her father comes out with a shotgun, there’s a car chase, yet he “knows exactly what he was thinking.”

The artist’s original music was more of the traditional country sound. Now, his music like “Gone” is a bit faster and has more elements of “rock” and some fresh raspy notes.

His most recent accomplishment is winning Male Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
