Dolly Parton Has More in the Works
Dolly Parton’s Christmas festival is a family tradition for thousands of families. In fact, it’s the most-attended event at the park. So, it takes months of planning. However, that isn’t all Dolly has on her plate right now.
For one, she’s working on expanding the Dreammore Resort at Dollywood. Those who visit the Christmas festival might win a chance to stay there. For some, that might be the only chance they get. The resort is always booked solid. About the resort, Dolly Parton said, “People love it, but it stays booked all the time. So, we thought, well we’ve got to have another resort because we got to accommodate all our guests.”
Dolly Parton is working on a handful of ventures outside of her park, as well. For instance, her perfume called Scent From Above is still going strong. It smells wonderful and her fans buy it out as soon as it’s available. Additionally, Dolly partnered with Williams-Sonoma to release a line of bakeware that includes sugar cookie mix, cookie cutters, and more.
Dolly Parton also teamed up with legendary author James Patterson to co-pen a novel. The thriller, Run, Rose, Run will take place in Nashville and will center around a young singer-songwriter hiding a secret from her past. It hits shelves in March alongside an album of the same name.
As if all that isn’t enough Dolly Parton is still working on putting out a line of wigs. About all this, she said, “I’m a busy girl, but I like to be busy.”
