Today, August 26th is National Dog Day! Along with the rest of the country’s dog parents, Dolly Parton shared a post featuring her pooch, Billy the Kid. Billy appears to be a French Bulldog. He also appears to adore owner Dolly Parton. The photo shows the pup’s little blockhead turned to coat the country icon in a layer of wet kisses. “Happy #NationalDogDay to Billy the Kid and all the other pups out there!” she writes.

Dolly Parton fans shared much love for the artist, and Billy the Kid himself. Heather wrote, “Adorable! Both of you,” and we can’t help but agree.

Additionally, Dolly Parton’s fun, tropical-themed surroundings add to the playful nature of the post. Despite autumn’s fast approach, Dolly Parton and Billy the Kid are surrounded by tropical leaves on the wallpaper and throw pillow. Hidden among the leaves are little pink blossoms and the throw pillow also sports a fun, colorful parrot. Overall the photo itself is just entirely Dolly.

Dolly Parton Shares a Passion For a Wide Variety of Pursuits

There is no doubt Dolly Parton absolutely adores her sweet pup Billy. Additionally, she’s frequently portrayed in the media as a bright, successful, and dedicated individual. Her personality has led her to pursue many passions and one of those is “pretty things and pretty smells.”

Among other Dolly Parton efforts, the “9 to 5” singer saw the release of her first-ever perfume on the “Home Shopping Network.”

The new scent, released in July and entitled, “Dolly – Scent From Above,” sold out faster than any other “HSN” fragrance within the last 10 years. Since, the perfume has been restocked, although the network has nothing left within the first week of the fragrance’s release.

The country star previously shared that her new perfume, contained within a blush pink glass bottle and topped with a butterfly, is a mix of light, feminine scents. These include mandarin, vanilla, patchouli, and sandalwood combined with slight hints of peony blossoms and jasmine. Overall, the fragrance is gently sweet and, therefore, incredibly Dolly.

Dolly On the Fast Track to ‘Forbes’

As Dolly Parton fans are well aware, she is a self-made artist and businesswoman. Further, her new perfume is only one of many examples of that title. Recently, the country star was added to the prestigious Forbes 2021 list of “America’s Richest Self-Made Women.”

The famous list saw an addition of 15 new women, however, Dolly was the only musician to make the list this year. Her efforts throughout the coronavirus pandemic saw her quite busy within the last 18 months, from concocting new fragrances to contributing to COVID-19 research to expanding her famed Dollywood theme park.

Women on the Forbes list possess a net worth of at least $225 million and, with Dolly Parton’s business ventures and philanthropic pursuits, puts her at an estimated $350 million.
