While some Dolly Parton fans are still reeling from the TikTok bamboozling, she’s been plenty busy with other things. Actually, the country starlet just recently celebrated the anniversary of her “Dolly” show that premiered on ABC on September 27th of ’87.
This follows another important anniversary of the drop of her debut “Hello” album which entered the world on September 18th of ’67. With her music at the forefront of her mind, just 25 days stand between Dolly Parton and her spot as Headliner for Nashville’s first-ever ‘Kiss Breast Cancer Goodbye’ benefit concert. We’ve got all the detail right here, folks.
Dolly Parton Joined by Slew of Big Names for Benefit
Let’s just get the basics out of the way. Three different organizers are heading the Benefit: 3rd Eye Hi, The Joseph Family Foundation, and The Pam Goodwin Show. Nashville’s first annual “Kiss Breast Cancer Goodbye Benefit Concert” and VIP Cocktail Hour is scheduled for Sunday, October 24th at 7:30 pm. The Country Music Hall of Fame’s CMA Theater will host the event.
Dolly Parton takes the Queen Bee spot as headliner, but there’s a lot more to the event than that. The venue also expects appearances from the likes of Linda Davis, Collin Raye, Dennis Quaid, and the Artimus Pyle Band. All proceeds directly benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a leader in the fight against breast cancer. Their CEO and President, Paula Schneider, said the following about the upcoming benefit:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in Kiss Breast Cancer Goodbye and cannot wait for this fantastic show. Funds raised by this event will help us accelerate the pace of progress and ensure that everyone living with breast cancer today can get the care they need. Together, we can ensure that no one faces this disease alone.”
In addition to the music, the event scheduled panels of cancer survivors and medical professionals to talk as well. They also chose two emcees. First, former Ford model and Home Shopping Network icon, Stacey Schieffelin. Second, co-host of The award-winning Bobby Bones Show, Amy Brown.

Dollywood Celebrates Autumn
As hard as you may try to hold onto summer, it’s gone. Just let go! Spooky season is upon us. Dolly Parton’s Dollywood announced the start of its Harvest Festival on September 24th, which runs through the end of October. Pumpkins and Halloween decor seemed to appear overnight to celebrate the transition.
Dolly took to Twitter to share the news with a photo. It shows the country star back at the very beginning of Dollywood, handling an acoustic guitar. Some things might have changed, but the big hair remains a staple of her wardrobe. The lace and bling stay true as well.
