Dolly Parton wants to celebrate her 75th birthday in style. In a recent interview, Parton revealed she is in talks to appear on the cover of Playboy again. Parton was born on Jan. 19, 1946.
Parton discussed her plans for the Playboy cover in a recent interview on the Scott Mills & Chris Stark show on Radio 5 Live.
“Yeah, I just might do it, if I can do it in good taste and they want it,” she told them. “We’ll do it along with a really good interview inside. So, yeah, it’s possible. We’ve talked about it, let’s put it that way.”
Parton first appeared on the cover of Playboy 42 years ago in October 1978. She was 32-years-old at the time. Parton first discussed the idea of a potential Playboy sequel this past March. She sat down with the host of 60 Minutes Australia about the birthday gift to herself.
“I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” Parton said. “See I did Playboy magazine years ago and I thought it’d be such a hoot if they’ll go for it, I don’t know if they will… if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”
The 60 Minutes interviewer asked Parton if she planned to wear the same outfit as before. In the original cover, Parton wore a black bunny suit with a pink necktie and cuffs. “Maybe! I could probably use it. Boobs are still the same,” Parton replied.
Dolly Parton recently released a new Christmas album.
On Oct. 2, Parton released her new Christmas album called A Holly Dolly Christmas. This is the third Christmas album Parton has recorded across her career.
