Dolly Parton has had a long and storied career as a musician. Through the decades, she’s teamed with a number of artists and even one of The Muppets. But some performances stand out more than others.
Here are the Top 10 of Parton’s collaborations with other artists.
Dolly Parton Teamed with Queen Latifah For ‘He’s Everything’
Parton and Queen Latifah brought the gospel for their collaboration “He’s Everything”. The two appeared together for the 2012 film Joyful Noise. Both contributed songs for the film’s soundtrack but collaborated for the song. They appear during the film’s wedding as part of the choir.
Brad Paisley featured Parton on ‘When I Get Where I’m Going’
Parton also lent her signature country twang to Brad Paisley’s song. She can be heard in the chorus alongside Paisley during the song. Parton also featured in the song’s music video. Towards the end of the video, she held a picture of her grandfather. The song heavily referenced being reunited with lost loved ones in heaven.
Kris Kristofferson and Parton Dueted ‘From Here to the Moon and Back’
Audiences can thank Joyful Noise for another top-tier Parton collaboration. This time Parton partnered with fellow singer Kris Kristofferson for a soulful portrayal of love after death. Parton and Kristofferson play wife and husband in the film. Through the performance, Parton’s character remembers her late spouse, and the country singers share a tender duet.
