Florida-Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley Reveals Plans for Christmas 2020

Florida Georgia Line stars Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley shared their plans for Christmas in 2020 in a video clip during the CMA Country Christmas special.

The CMA Country Christmas special is being led by hosts Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins. It’s the 11th annual musical special and it is airing currently on ABC.

Florida Georgia Line performed their new song “Lit This Year,” during the Christmas special. In the song, the country duo sings about spiking the eggnog (using their own whiskey brand in the process). Additionally, they mention enjoying some “homegrown mistletoe.”

Hubbard says that while they have never put out Christmas music in the past, both he and Kelley thought it could be a fun project.

“BK had this idea that we just put together and it just turned out amazing — it was so much fun,” Hubbard says in the video. “It really just feels like an FGL Christmas song to be honest with you. It’s a good time, it makes us feel good, and we can’t wait for the world to hear it.”

In the same video, the dynamic country duo talks about what their plans are for Christmas this year. Kelley says he is most looking forward to spending time with his family in their new Florida home.

“We’re looking forward to being in our home in Florida. We’ve been under construction for the past couple years so by then we’ll be in our new spot at the beach,” Kelley shares. “Just looking forward to eating a lot of good food, being around family, enjoying each other’s presence, and just catching up.”

For Hubbard, he will no doubt be busy as he has a new baby in the family to go along with his one-year old.

“There will be a lot of baby action going on in our house this year,” Hubbard jokes. “But we’re excited. There’s always a fun energy with all the kids running around.”

Hubbard adds that they will try and get away into the mountains for Christmas or somewhere it snows a lot.
