Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard Speaks Out on Breakup Rumors

Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard addresses rumors that the group was breaking up. Rumors began to spread after Hubbard unfollowed his collaborator Brian Kelley on social media.

Previously, Hubbard explained he unfollowed Kelly over a difference of opinion politically. Now, Hubbard opened up about the duo’s partnership and friendship over the years. The artist admits they had their disagreements over the years. But they remain friends.

“We’ve had moments where we want to kill each other, but a lot of it’s out of love,” Hubbard told PopCulture. “We put that first and foremost and we know the importance of our relationship and how much love we have for each other. Over the years, we’ve worked to become stronger and stronger and stronger, and that’s even through the hard times, it’s made us stronger as friends and brothers and partners. So we’re really thankful for it.”

Tyler Hubbard Says He Unfollowed Brian Kelley Over Political Differences

When Hubbard decided to unfollow Kelley, he personally called him to explain why he made that decision.

“I even called him and told him, I said, ‘Hey, buddy, I love you. And I love you a lot more in real life than on your [Instagram] Stories right now. So I’m just going to — so that’s why I’m unfollowing you. Nothing personal. I still love you. You’re still my brother,’” Hubbard said. “I just didn’t want to see it every time I opened Instagram. And so it wasn’t a big deal.”

Hubbard and Kelley both insisted they were “on great terms” and “stronger than ever.” More recently, the duo released a collaboration with Chase Rice called “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.” They are also working on an untitled country music musical together.

For the untitled musical, the two will be recording their own original songs as well as putting their own spin on country music classics.
