Brooks’ long-anticipated album is scheduled to be released Nov. 20, but he was to give a preview of the album Wednesday. However, that event has been postponed until his weekly Facebook Live show “Inside Studio G” on Monday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., he said in a tweet.
Taste of Country is reporting that Brooks injured his left hand while working on his farm. In the video announcing the delay with his wife Trisha Yearwood, the “Friends in Low Places” singer is wearing a glove on his left hand. He makes a passing quip about hopefully being able to play the guitar by the Oct. 26 event. Yearwood then jokes, “If not I’ll have to learn the chords.”
He did not release the cause of the accident or the extent of his injuries. Taste of Country reported that fans heard Brooks mention a hand injury during his SiriusXM show ahead of Wednesday’s scheduled performance.
Garth Brooks Releases New Tracks From ‘Fun’
Garth Brooks hasn’t released a new studio album since 2016’s “Gunslinger.” But fans have been showered with new music from the country music superstar ahead of the “Fun” release next month.
So far, Brooks has released several songs from the new album. That includes the Top 10 hit “Dive Bar” and the Top 20 hits “All Day Long” and “Stronger Than Me.” Though fans have been most excited about “Shallow,” a cover of the Oscar-winning Lady GaGa song from “A Star is Born.”
Fans have inundated Brooks’ social media with praise for the cover after its surprise release this week. On Brooks’ tweet about postponing the album preview event, fans were still gushing about the song.
