Country music power couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have officially called off their immediate plans after one of their team members tested positive for the coronavirus.

The 59-year-old Brooks took to social media on Thursday evening to announce that he and his wife would be quarantined for the foreseeable future.

In a post on both Brooks’ official Twitter and Facebook accounts, he says the move to cancel is out of an abundance of caution.

“Due to someone on their team testing positive for Covid-19 and out of an abundance of caution, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are cancelling everything and testing and quarantining for two weeks,” Brooks wrote on Twitter. The tweet signs off with, “Team Garth.”

As a result, all activities for Brooks and Yearwood have been canceled for at least two weeks. One of those cancelations was a special event which was going to air tomorrow (Fri, Feb 12th). Garth and Brooks were scheduled to be guest co-hosts for a special Valentine’s Day edition of Ellen. Further, country fans will miss a full band performance of their latest single “Shallow.” It was going to be one of the main features on the episode.

The cancelation also means there will be no Inside Studio G on Facebook Live for the next two weeks. Inside Studio G is Brooks’ weekly Facebook Live series where he interacts with his fans and answers questions.

The couple had to postpone all live-stream events for two weeks last summer due to Brooks’ daughter Allie contracting the virus. However, from what we can tell, neither Brooks nor Yearwood has contracted the virus.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood Release ‘Shallow’ Cover

Prior to the recent cancelations, Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood released their version of “Shallow.” The song was initially made famous by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in their film, A Star Is Born.

Brooks and Yearwood first made a decision to cover the popular song once a fan requested it during a Facebook Live video last March. Their duet became such a hit that they went on to record an official version for Brooks’ latest album, Fun.

However, it’s quite clear there is no acting between Brooks and Yearwood when it comes to their love. Take a look for yourself at their performance below:
