On Thursday, country legend George Strait got inquisitive on Twitter when he asked his fans to name the album that released on this day in 1982.

“Name the album! It was released on this day in 1982 and included the hit singles ‘Fool Hearted Memory’ and ‘Marina Del Rey,'” Strait’s Twitter posted. His account only shared two singles off the album and an edited photo of the record’s front cover. True fans of George Strait will know it immediately, but for others, we’ll give you some more hints.

The album Strait is referring to indeed came out on June 3, 1982, almost 40 years ago. The record became the country musician’s second studio album when MCA Records released it that day. As the post mentioned, “Fool Hearted Memory” is a highlight of the album. In addition, it became the first single off the record, which also was Strait’s first No. 1 single of his iconic career.

Furthermore, the album had three more Top 10 charted singles. “Marina Del Rey” reached No. 6, “Amarillo by Morning” climbed to No. 4, and “A Fire I Can’t Put Out” became his second No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.

As the last clues, the album peaked on the US Billboard Top Country Albums chart at No. 18 and is certified platinum. Give up yet? If you still don’t remember his 1982 classic that solidified his status in country music, it’s Strait From The Heart.

George Strait Shares ‘Strait From the Stage’ Post

A couple days ago, George Strait’s Twitter account posted a little “something special” for his more than half a million fans and followers. The account shared a throwback 1980s video of the musician performing one of his many classics.

The country singer shared a clip of a concert as part of his “Strait From the Stage” social media series. In it, fans get to see a young George Strait singing a portion of his 1985 hit “You’re Something Special to Me.” The single is featured on his similarly titled fifth studio album Something Special.

“You’re Something Special to Me” topped out at No. 4 on the Hot Country Singles chart. Additionally, the album also had one other single that reached No. 1 on the charts – “The Chair.”

MCA Records released the platinum-selling record on August 29, 1985. The album reached the peak of the Country Albums chart at No. 1 and became the fourth-highest selling country album of that year.

“Bringing you #SomethingSpecial with this #StraitFromTheStage!” the account tweeted.
