Country music legend George Strait took to social media on Friday afternoon to gift his fans and followers with a sweet throwback pic from back in the day.
The King of Country posted a photo to Instagram of him performing a number of years ago. In the caption, Strait tells his fans to “Be good to yourself,” referencing his classic song “If You Can Do Anything Else.”
It’s no doubt a message that was well-received by his followers.

George Strait fans were in the comments section in awe of the country legend’s throwback picture.
One Instagram user, grandmalinda2017, left a comment saying what we were all thinking.
“Just like George, putting others feelings first,” she writes. “Myself I would stay right there with you! Great song! Gotta love 😍🤠George Strait.”
Other fans took to the comments to remind George Strait of his infamous nickname. User mickileerose wrote, “King George ❤️💪🤘💯,” and daviddeaton1865 says, “The King 👑.”
“If You Can Do Anything Else” was co-written by Billy Livsey and Don Schlitz. It saw its release back in February of 2001 as the third single from his self-titled album, George Strait. The song peaked at No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country chart.
George Strait Wishes Texans Happy Independence Day
The country music superstar took to Instagram yet again a couple of days ago. This time it was to wish his fellow citizens of Texas a happy Independence Day.
The state of Texas recognizes the holiday every year on March 2. It is in celebration of the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on that same day in 1836, marking their independence from Mexico.
All country music fans know that George Strait is a Texan through and through, and that was quite obvious by his social media post on Tuesday. Strait took to his official Instagram page to celebrate the holiday with his fellow Texans.
“Happy #TexasIndependenceDay to all you Texans out there! 🤠” Strait captions the post.
Meanwhile, that post from George Strait since amassed nearly 35,000 likes since being posted on Tuesday afternoon. Several of Strait’s fans and followers chimed in returning the favor in the comments section, wishing the country icon a happy Texas Independence Day as well.
