Jameson Rodgers may be the new guy on Nashville’s Music Row. But he’s already fixing to be one of country music’s biggest stars. And his career is getting hotter every day. The singer’s debut 2019 single Some Girls went straight to number one on the US Country Airplay charts. And today, his second single titled Cold Beer Calling My Name is officially another chart-topping hit.

As of today, Jameson Rodgers can claim that every single he’s produced has gone to number one. He may only have two songs playing on the airwaves, but that’s still an amazing feat. His most recent single featuring Luke Combs hit number one today (October 4th) and solidified its place in Billboard Country Airplay history. And though it’s the second time he’s peaked at the top, it’s the first time a song he’s co-written has reached number one.

Rodgers penned Cold Beer Calling My Name with his buddies Hunter Phelps, Brett Tyler, and Alysa Vanderheym. And as he said in a press release, working with friends has been a major highlight in his career.

“The only thing better than writing a No. 1 song is writing a No. 1 song with your friends,” he admitted. “I can’t believe we get to do this for a living. I’m proud of this song and this team.”

Today’s chart-topper has been streamed on-demand more than 104 million times. And his first hit has already gone platinum. Both of the singer’s titles are tracks on his one and only album, Bet You’re From a Small Town, which dropped last month.

Upon its release, music critics quickly praised the record. MusicRow wrote that “Rodger’s penmanship shines” as he “shows off his knack for writing a modern country hook.” And The Nash News said, “It’s apparent that Rodgers isn’t afraid to write about the real stuff. In fact, he leans into those stories in the most authentic way possible.”

Jameson Rodgers and Luke Combs Debut Their ‘Cold Beer Calling My Name’ Music Video

On February 9th, Jameson Rodgers and Luke Combs debuted the music video for their now-famous hit Cold Beer Calling My Name.

The video follows Combs and Rodgers as they head home from a long day of work—that isn’t supposed to be over yet. Rodgers plays an unenthusiastic delivery driver who has complaints stacking up at the office. And his boss is threatening to fire him if he doesn’t get his act together.

But Rodgers is fed up, so he and Combs cut their workday short. They may not have jobs to go back to the next day. But that’s ok because as the lyrics suggest, the guys have a couple of cold ones waiting for them at home.
