Jana Kramer Reveals New Tattoo in Wake of Divorce from Mike Caussin

Amid her ongoing divorce, Jana Kramer has some new ink.

Recently, Kramer took to social media to share with her fans that she was getting a pair of tattoos removed. The country singer then shared a string of photos that began with a snap of Kramer with her two kids, 5-year-old daughter Jolie and 2-year-old son Jace.

She later debuted the new ink, showing off her new addition in a post via Instagram on Thursday. The second photo was a close-up of the new tattoo on the country music singer’s forearm.

The new piece of permanent art is a simple script that features both of Kramer’s children’s names put together. She told fans in her caption, “Movie bound!!!!!! Heading to CT…where should I take the kids?!? Also swipe right to see my new tattoo for kiddos.”

In June, Kramer revealed to her fans that she was in the process of getting multiple tattoos removed and documented the event on her Instagram Story.

“What I’m getting removed is obviously the anniversary and then I am also getting the birth date removed because I’m gonna do a Jolie and Jace tattoo in a new area,” she shared in a clip as a professional prepped the tattoos for removal on the inside of her bicep. “I’m gonna dedicate a new area to Jolie and Jace, I’m excited.”

The singer and actress has remained transparent with her fans since filing for divorce from Mike Caussin in April. The two were together for nearly six years.

This week, she recently opened up about the separation on her Whine Down podcast. She revealed to her guest Dorinda Medley that her soon-to-be ex-husband has had “so much resentment” since they first parted ways.

“It’s definitely hard and it’s one of those things where sometimes the process with us has been really challenging because there is that betrayal,” she said after Medley mentioned that a breakup is more difficult on the couple when there’s been a betrayal.

When the single mom of two filed for divorce, she cited “inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences and adultery” as reasons for the separation in the court documents.

“He has so much resentment and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, you’re the one who hurt me,’” she said of her ex. “‘How are you being mean to me? This doesn’t add up to me.’” Kramer told Medley, “Help me understand that because I’m just losing my mind.” She added, “There’s a million mean things I can say to [Mike] but I’m choosing to be kind and walking through this.”

The 37-year-old also opened up about the betrayal during an interview with Billy Bush. She described to him that it was an “ultimate betrayal” when she realized that Caussin kept certain things from her.

“I wanted so badly to believe this version that he was portraying,” she described to Bush. “It’s just that ultimate betrayal when you realize that it isn’t what it was. And that’s hard to live with. But it also helps with the process of moving on.”
