Jason Aldean Captures How Every Georgia Football Fan Feels Right Now

It’s here, ladies and gents. The College Football National Championship Game takes place Monday Night in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium. It’ll feature the Alabama Crimson Tide vs. the Georgia Bulldogs. The Crimson Tide have won seven-straight games in the series with a plethora of Georgia heartbreaking losses along the way. Georgia fans, like Jason Aldean, are both excited and quite nervous heading into Monday night’s contest. Yes, the country music star and UGA superfan Jason Aldean captured how every Georgia Football fan feels right now on his personal Instagram page.

Aldean wrote for his caption in the post, “It’s been 42 years since my boys @georgiafootball won a National Championship. Hopefully, tomorrow is finally our time. I’m not gonna be able to sleep for —- tonite. #godamndawgs.”

It certainly got both fanbases talking. One fan wrote in the comments, “Love you Jason, but I gotta disagree tomorrow! #rolltide.”

Another fan wrote, “This is one of the few things I disagree with you on brother. Roll Tide Roll! Haha. Alabama all day! Good luck tomorrow but we gonna beat y’all Georgia boys.”

Georgia Football’s Opportunity

The Georgia football team has a huge opportunity on Monday evening. For one, the Bulldogs can work to avenge a devastating SEC title game beatdown at the hands of the defending champion Alabama Crimson Tide. The loss made it eight-straight games the Dawgs had lost to Alabama in a row. Kirby Smart, Nick Saban’s former longtime defensive coordinator, has yet to beat his former mentor while the head coach at Georgia. However, there is a reason for optimism, as head coach of Texas A&M Jimbo Fisher did in fact knock off Alabama earlier this season at College Station. With the victory, Fisher became the first former Saban assistant to beat the best college football coach of all time. Fisher’s victory showed Georgia football fans that it could be done.

Stetson Bennett told the AJC, “I know Lindsay Scott; he’s from Wayne County, which is down there where I’m from.” He continued, “Obviously, I know Herschel. I talk to Buck Belue and a few other guys from that team. And I grew up listening to Larry Munson highlights on YouTube, all his calls.’”

It’s a big moment for Stetson. The all-time great college football story. A former walk-on who has the chance to cement himself in Georgia lore forever. He will be up against the Heisman winner once again, though, in Bryce Young and Alabama. On Monday night on ESPN, Stetson Bennett and Georgia football have the opportunity to do something special and win another national title for the first time in 42 years. Something tells us Jason Aldean will be just fine with that.
