Jason Aldean is still getting used to wearing a mask while out and about. The country music superstar makes sure he always has his before going out in public.

Aldean says he hopes the new normal of wearing a mask doesn’t last forever. In the meantime, he is looking his looking at the bright side of things. He recently told the Taste of Country Nights crew that he has found some advantages to covering half of his face when he goes out.

Hosts Evan Paul and Amber Atnip asked Aldean about taking trips to Target and other stores amid the pandemic. He admits to sometimes needing to use a cheap, store-provided face shield when he forgets his.

“It’s normal for you to go, ‘OK, I need my wallet, my keys and my mask to go somewhere,'” he explains to Paul and Atnip.

Many stores in Tennessee and Nashville specifically had mask mandates. With that in mind, Aldean did his best to blend in, quite literally. He says that less people recognize him when they can’t see the lower half of his face.

“The mask, as much as I hate ’em, has been kind of cool because you kind of blend in with everybody else,” Aldean shares.

Jason Aldean Provides Exciting Photo and Update on New Project

Alden revealed on social media last week that he was back the recording studio making music. He shared a photo of himself on Twitter and wrote “Back in the studio today working on album 10!”

Although he didn’t reveal the name of his tenth album, Aldean did name his ninth studio album after the number itself. The singer released 9 during Fall 2019. Upon its release, the album made No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and also top of the country chart as well. “We Back” was the lead single for that album when it debuted in Nov. 2019.

“When I came into country music and made my mark, it was with a banger,” Aldean told The Boot about that single. “But we haven’t put out a lot of that stuff over the last couple years. So we got this song and to me it just says what it says: ‘Thought we were gone, but you’re wrong – now it’s on.'”

As of right now, it’s unknown when Aldean will release his next studio album. But the country singer has consistently released a new album every one to two years. Based on that trend, Aldean’s next album could release in 2021.
