Jason Aldean Wishes His ‘Right Hand Man’ a Happy Birthday: ‘Love Ya Brotha’

When it comes to country music stardom, singer and songwriter Jason Aldean ranks right up there with the best of them.

Much like Batman has Robin and Sherlock Holmes has Watson, Aldean has a partner that helps his world turn. Aldean’s “sidekick” is guitarist Kurt Allison. The duo has performed together under the bright lights for 20 years, according to Aldean.

Calling Allison his “right hand man,” Aldean wishes his performing partner a happy birthday in a Saturday morning social media post. He also includes a very cool photo of he and his guitarist at a past stage performance. The photo shows the two men synchronizing their stage jumps to make for an awesome shot.

“Happy Birthday to Kurt Allison my right hand man on stage for the past 20 years!” the country says in the post. “Here’s to 20 more…love ya brother.”

Kurt Allison’s Career with Jason Aldean

Allison is a career musician who got his start playing in his father’s rhythm and blues band before relocating to Nashville. In 1999, he joined the then up-and-coming Aldean as part of his touring band. As a member of the band, Allison has played all over the world. Speaking with the Des Moines Register, the guitarist talks about his relationship with Jason Aldean.

“It’s an interesting thing because I know Jason as my friend,” he says. “We just happen to be on the same ride together. Obviously it’s his name and he’s the artist so it’s different for him than it is me. But, it’s hard for me to step out and see Jason Aldean, the superstar, because I’m friends with Jason Aldean, the guy.”

He says pairing with Aldean has been an excellent career decision as he shares in his success as a live performer. He describes Jason Aldean as “laid back” and “down to earth” and says he feels “very blessed” to call him a friend.
