Country music star Jason Aldean’s hit album “My Kinda Party” came out 10 years ago today.
The album went quadruple platinum and got nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. Aldean has been releasing music with Broken Bow Records for about a decade and a half.
A Twitter Party
“Jason’s album ‘My Kinda Party’ was released 10 years ago today!” Aldean’s Twitter account tweeted. “Leave a comment with your favorite song off the record.”
The tweet drew lots of enthusiastic responses. “Fly Over States is the one,” replied Twitter user Danny. “Never drop that from your set list please.”
Others chimed in with different favorites. “That’s tough,” said Twitter user Lincoln Arnett. “So many good ones. But if I had to choose just one, it would be ‘Tattoos On This Town.’”
“Fly Over States” got more votes than most. But “Tattoos On This Town” and “My Kinda Party” made a decent showing, too.
“My Kinda Party,” commented Cris Christian. “Rockin Tune..!!! Best Video…”
Some tweeps said they simply refused to choose a song, because they like them all too much.
“Can’t. All,” replied Twitter user Chad.
Not His Kinda Pandemic
Aldean has made news recently not for his hit music but for his mask-wearing etiquette. Over the weekend of Oct. 24 and 25, Aldean took his family to visit Walt Disney World in Florida. At some point during the visit, Aldean snapped a photo of his family smiling, without masks, in the theme park.
“Chill out lady,” Aldean responded. “They are in our pocket. We took them off for 5 seconds to take the pic. Believe me, Disney didn’t give us a ‘free pass’ not to wear them. We had them on all day just like everybody else.”
With the pandemic spoiling Aldean’s party, it’s nice he has a happy anniversary to celebrate.
