Jimmie Allen Posts Inspiring Message to Fans: ‘It’s Ok to Make Mistakes’

Jimmie Allen is starting his Friday morning with an inspirational message for his fans and followers. The “This Is Us” singer took to social media to offer some uplifting words in addition to dropping a famous movie quote.

“Believe in yourself and Don’t be so hard on yourself,” Allen writes. “You can’t expect perfection from imperfect people. It’s ok to make mistakes, just make sure you learn from them.”

The 34-year-old singer seemed to be on a mission to spread positivity on Friday morning. He went on to later share a quote from a highly memorable scene in the Whoopi Goldberg classic, “Sister Act 2.”

“If you wanna be somebody, if you wanna go somewhere, you better wake up and pay attention,” Allen writes and credits “Sister Mary Clarence” from the film with the quote.

Jimmie Allen Takes Swipe at Record Labels

In stark contrast to Friday’s tweets, Allen seemed a bit fed up when he fired shots at record labels earlier this week about the music that artists release. He blasted music executives in a since-deleted tweet.

“Artists/writers/producers create the music but the people who don’t have a musically creative bone in their body control what songs the artists should record and put on their album? That’s like letting someone who never built a house, build your house. Makes no sense,” Allen wrote.

Last-Minute Cancellation from Macy’s Day Parade

On Thursday, Allen planned on performing at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. However, on Wednesday, Allen shared that a “minor family emergency” caused him to pull out of the performance.

“What up peeps, wanted to check in here and let ya know that unfortunately, I won’t ‘be able to perform on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year due to a minor family emergency. I’m still looking forward to watching the Parade with the family like we always do. Hopefully one year soon I’ll be watching it from one of the floats. Happy Thanksgiving.”
