The Mark Twain House & Museum is hosting their first-ever virtual gala – and none other than Jimmy Buffett & Brad Paisley are headlining!
It’s a good day to be a fan of Buffet, Paisley, or Samuel Clemens himself. If you’re wondering what could possibly bring these three very different American icons together – it’s a free virtual gala courtesy of Clemens’ House & Museum.
Better known to the world by his pen name of Mark Twain, Clemens is celebrated as America’s premier writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher, and lecturer. In his time – and after – he is the “greatest humorist the United States has produced.” William Faulkner even once famously labeled him “the father of American literature”.
Now, a century on, The Mark Twain House & Museum is hosting their first ever virtual gala.
According to the museum’s official Twitter, viewers can “join The Mark Twain House & Museum on Friday, November 6 at 8 pm EST for our first-ever virtual gala!” The institution is will “present this hour-long event for FREE to Twain fans all over the globe with special guest appearances!”
Jimmy Buffett Headlining Mark Twain Gala
Among those special guests? None other than fellow American legend Jimmy Buffett. Buffett is taking to Twitter himself to announce his involvement today. “Big fins up,” the singer/songwriter says. Accompanying his post is a photo featuring all the good vibes expect from Mr. Buffett.
Joining Jimmy Buffet will be Brad Paisley as mentioned. In addition, critically acclaimed novelist John Grisham will be on hand. Other notable authors, such as Sophronia Scott and David Baldacci will be on hand, as well.
While this is no doubt a lovely surprise for Buffet fans, the star has been far from inactive of late. He’s active on Twitter and has become outspoken on the current state of American affairs, as well.
The hour-long event is FREE to Twain fans, and will stream online November 6th at 8pm EST.
