While most artists are gearing up for a summer of country music, screaming fans, and tours, Jon Pardi is not. He is having to cancel three June concerts per his doctor’s orders.

Why does our beloved Pardi animal have to take it easy? Well, his doctor says that he needs to give his voice a break for the time being. And how does the country star say the quiet time is going?

Sad News From Social Media

Jon Pardi took to social media to share his disappointment with fans, saying this decision is not easy while also apologizing to fans.

The 36-year-old country artist holds a piece of paper with a big frowny face drawn on it. He also may be giving a sad pouty face, but we aren’t totally sure. There is a hint of a grin as well, but that could be due to his comfortable spot on the couch.

“For the first time in my life, I have been ordered by the doctor to go on vocal rest, and it is NOT EASY!!! All shows through End of June will be rescheduled. I promise to do my part and stay as healthy as possible to continue singing and performing. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Think about it like this. He rests now, and we have his butter-like voice for longer! Delayed gratification, my friends.

One fan and fellow musician gave Jon Pardi a few tips in the comment sections.

“Room temperature water and watermelon. Avoid cold drinks as it’s bad for vocal health.”

*Gets out a notepad and begins writing this down*

However, many other social media followers flooded into the comment section to wish him a speedy recovery.

“Feel better. Take some of that heartache medication,” said one, while another states, “Feel better soon @JonPardi !!!! The world needs your voice !!” Although this fan is on the verge of a mental breakdown. “Omg! I wish him well, but if his concert in July gets canceled, I might just lose it.”

Jon Pardi Tour

According to Jon Pardi’s website, the tour dates have been updated since the stay-at-home-in-silence order. However, beginning on July 1, the country music star is back at it, starting in Durant, Oklahoma. From there, the tour continues until November 14 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

That’s four and a half months on tour and nearly 40 shows… yeah, give that voice of yours a break in the meantime. You are going to need it.

However, Jon Pardi will reschedule the three unfortunate locations: Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on June 17 and Orange Beach, Alabama, on June 18 and 19.

Recently, Jon Pardi’s new hit “Tequila Little Time” is inside the Top 40 on country charts. The song is part of his ACM and CMA nominated album, Heartache Medication.
