Keith Urban is ready to put 2021 is his rearview mirror. He’s already planning “The Speed Of Now” tour for December 2021.
The country music star is detailing out his 2021 tour, and Urban wants to add his good friend, Pink, to the lineup, according to the DailyMail. Urban teamed up with the powerhouse vocalist on the hit “One Too Many.”
The 53-year-old even has a modern type of plan that includes Pink and him performing together on stage. As a matter of fact, she’s actually recording a special performance of the duet. The special performance is what Urban plans on using for the tour.
Urban Wanted to Partner with Pink From the Start
Urban opens up about working with Pink. He says it was a “dream come true” working with Pink. Additionally, he knew that he wanted Pink to sing the female vocals from the moment he wrote the song in 2019.
“When she got her vocal recorded and they sent me the files to it, I was in my studio at home in Nashville. I’ll never forget it,” Urban remembers.
“I hit play and I just went, ‘Oh s**t she sounds amazing.’ She had added all these extra bits. She just owned it, she made the song hers,” he says. “I just love her voice and getting to actually hear our voices together was a dream come true for me.”
Urban and Pink became fast friends since meeting at the American Country Music Awards in 2017.
