Kelly Clarkson: Brett Was A “Perfect Match” For a Duet Partner
Speaking on the holiday season and Eldredge, Clarkson said, “I love writing new Christmas songs that have a classic, throwback vibe. Brett is such an amazing singer, and I was so impressed by his classic sound on his Christmas record, so it was a perfect match for picking a duet partner for “Under The Mistletoe.””
In addition, Clarkson and Eldredge sang their holiday duet “Under the Mistletoe” on The Voice on Tuesday, December 8. Prior to that, the two performed the tune NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center.”
On Twitter, Clarkson announced the released of the new music video writing, “Thanks for tuning into the premiere of #UnderTheMistletoe! Hope y’all loved my new music video with @BrettEldredge!”
Clarkson and Eldredge will perform together tonight on NBC during the “One Night Only: The Best of Broadway.” The broadcast will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which aims to provide essentials such as groceries, health care, and emergency funds to the Broadway community during the pandemic. It begins at 7 p.m. CST on NBC.
Clarkson has been keeping herself busy despite her ongoing divorce from Brandon Blackstock. The Grammy-winning artist has tried to keep the details surrounding the separation as private as possible. However, on her daytime talk show, she recently discussed the toll the divorce is taking on herself and her children.
