Kelsea Ballerini may be an incredibly successful singer and songwriter who is serious about her career, but she still knows how to have fun. And today, she and her crew took the day off so they could unwind. The country star posted some pictures of the event on social media. And after checking out the snapshots, we think she can teach everyone a few things about the art of relaxation.
In May, Ballerini announced the collaboration with an Instagram video. She recorded herself singing an acoustic cover of Burning Up, one of the Jonas Brother’s biggest hits. And as she finished her rendition, she said, “So, uh, I’ll see you guys on the road.”
Ballerini is now one month away from the tour end, and she took a vacation day. And the chart-topping songstress commemorated her day on Instagram.
“Day off parking lot tiki party,” she captioned.
In the seven picture series, we can see Kelsea is having a great afternoon with her crew. The tour buses are pulled over, and the singer put together a great impromptu event. There is a mini-bar, catered food, streamers, and leis. They even have a skeleton friend who is-ironically-living it up, too.
Kelsea Ballerini Thinks the Country Music Industry is Changing
Kelsea Ballerini is on the road with the Jonas Brothers. And in past years, that pairing would have been unlikely. Ballerini is a country singer, and the Jonas bros are all pop. But over the past few years, there has been a lot of crossover in the industries. And because of that, her music reaches a larger audience—which made the Burning Up tour possible.
“There will always be ‘purists’ that only want to hear certain kinds of country music, and I respect that,” she once told Billboard. “But I also think that country music’s always been evolving.”
Kelsea Ballerini also talked about the pandemic and said that it completely changed how she communicates with her fans. “[Social media] is the only way that I can connect with people,” she stated. “So yeah, it’s really forced me to go there and show what I’m doing. I’m an over-sharer.”
Furthermore, social media sites allow Ballerini to keep tabs on her followers and make sure they’re doing alright.
“I really do put it all out there. I’m on there all the time,” Kelsea continued. “It’s my way of seeing what people are living. What people are going. Seeing if anyone’s having a hard day.”
