Taking time away from the studio, Lady A’s Hillary Scott shares some details about her twin daughters, Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn, and their keen interest in music in her latest interview.

According to Good Morning America, Hillary Scott opens up to reporters about taking the adorable little girls to the studio and also how the three-year-olds are already showing music talents. “It’s so cool to see them hearing their own voice back, and just getting to be in the control room with me,” Scott explains.

Hillary Scott also says the reason, why it’s so amazing, is because, for the majority of their lives, the girls haven’t really been able to come to the studio with her. Also discussing the girls’ music talents, Hillary Scott reveals that the duo loves to sing. “I would have to say Betsy is a little bit more of a… if you ask her, it’s always a ‘yes.’ Like ‘Do you wanna sing a song?’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah, OK’ and she’ll just burst into singing.”

Hillary Scott also proclaims that Betsy’s favorite song is ‘This is Me’ from The Greatest Showman. “Anything with the oh-oh’s in it, it’s her favorite,” the Lady A singer adds.

Hillary Scott married her husband Chris Tyrrell in January 2012. The couple reportedly met in college and reconnected with Lady A and Tyrrell’s former band Love and Theft performed as opening acts on Tim McGraw’s 2010 tour. Scott and Tyrrell announced they were expecting their first child in December 2012 and their daughter Eisele Kay was born in July 2013. The couple had their twin daughters in January 2018.

Hillary Scott Opens Up abut Struggles After Miscarriage

During a June 2016 interview with Good Morning America, Hillary Scott opened up about the struggles she faced after her 2015 miscarriage. “I feel like there’s this pressure that you’re just supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened.”

Hillary Scott also says that she wrote her single ‘Thy Will’ while experiencing “everything that comes with a miscarriage.” She further explains, “So it was my most raw place that I could’ve ever been when this song truly poured out of me.”

Scott also describes herself as a different mom to her daughter, Eisele Kaye. “I hug her a lot tighter.” Hillary goes on to add, “After going through everything that I’ve gone through in the past year, but also just the process of making this record, I know I’m coming back into the mindset of [Lady A]… I’m grateful.”

Lady A is currently on tour, with their next stop being at Bonner Springs, Kansas. The group will be touring until October 10th, with their stop being at Gilford, New Hampshire’s Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion.
