LeAnn Rimes recently helped make dreams come true.
She appeared on an episode of the HGTV series “Celebrity IOU,” which is hosted by the “Property Brothers,” Jonathan and Drew Scott. The premise of the show is that celebrities choose a person who has had a tremendous impact on their lives. They then surprise these important and inspiring people with their very own home renovation.
This is the second season of the popular home renovation show. The show has featured people like Jeremy Renner, Rebel Wilson, Viola Davis, Brad Pitt, and Melissa McCarthy.
Popular country artist, LeAnn Rimes, appeared on the show and knew exactly who she’d select for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. She chose her very close friend, Roger Canevari. “My dear friend and lifesaver, @mantis7jewels has been there for me in some of the darkest of times and I wanted to show him just how much he is LovEd!” the singer wrote on her Instagram account.
According to his Instagram account, Canevari is a jewelry designer and a lifelong friend of the “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” singer. He owns a jewelry shop in Los Angeles, California called Mantis 7.
“Roger Canevari for Mantis 7 creates one of a kind jewellery pieces for men and women using materials such as vintage coral skulls, Tahitian pearls, multi coloured diamonds and 18ct gold,” the Mantis 7 site states.
Before getting into the business, Roger studied at The Fashion Institute of New York. From the looks of it, he loves his dog, boxing, getting to make jewelry, and LeAnn Rimes. He shared the promotional video for his episode on his own Instagram account. “This is incredibly humbling and all too exciting because tonight is the premiere of the episode when my dear dear friend @leannrimes surprises me along with friends the @propertybrothers too …”
Connection Between Roger and LeAnn Rimes
During the episode, Rimes explained just how much of an impact Roger Canevari has had on her life. She stated that he was one of the individuals that could see she was struggling early on in her life. He knew she was ready to seek professional help. She refers to him as her second dad.
The most emotional moment in the episode is when they reveal the project to Roger in a tear-jerking moment of love and appreciation.
“I wanted to do something special for you because you’ve helped me so much in my life. Eight years ago, when I was probably at the lowest point of my life, you basically saved my life. I love you so much,” LeAnn Rimes said.
Rimes has been open about her struggle with mental health over the years. After starting off her musical career when she was only 13, Rimes said the pressure and industry led to “so much anxiety and depression.”
From the looks of it, Rimes also had a blast getting to help with the renovation. It involved some sledgehammers and a good deal of destruction before something astoundingly beautiful could flourish. Rimes basically got to take part in her own “rage room” alongside the “Property Brothers.”
