Country music stars Loretta Lynn and Alan Jackson have shared a mutual respect for one another for many years. This week, Lynn is celebrating her friend and praising his work on his upcoming album.

On Wednesday (April 7), the country music icon shared her thoughts about Jackson and his upcoming album via Twitter.

Here’s what Lynn had to say: “Just when I thought country music was near gone, @OfficialJackson brings it back to life! What an album, he’s given us. Y’all go listen to it right now. The close relationship between Alan Jackson and Loretta Lynn goes back years. In fact, she paid tribute to him when he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017.

Fans were happy to join in with Loretta Lynn for her praise of Alan Jackson and his new album. And, they shared their thoughts in response to her Twitter post on Wednesday.

Alan Jackson Releasing New Album on May 14

According to the singer’s website, Alan Jackson’s new album “Where Have You Gone” is now available for pre-order. The release date is May 14, 2021.

The album’s tracklist includes the title track, “Where Have You Gone,” in addition to such tracks as “Wishful Drinkin’,” “Things That Matter,” “The Boot,” and “The Older I Get.”

There are also two songs that are very close to Jackson’s heart. One is “You’ll Always Be My Baby,” which was created for the weddings of Jackson’s daughters, according to his website. This is also the song “Where Her Heart Has Always Been.” Jackson reportedly wrote this song after the death of his mother. The track includes audio of her reading the Bible.

Loretta Lynn Recently Released Her Latest Album

To say that Loretta Lynn knows good country music is an understatement. And, the country icon recently released some pretty great new country music of her own.

Lynn’s latest album was released in March. Titled “Still Woman Enough,” it includes Lynn and some of the most popular female country artists working today. These are Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Tanya Tucker, and Margo Price.

The album is a must-listen for fans of country music – and good music in general. It showcases a country legend doing what she does best. And, she deserves to be celebrated.
