Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw and Others Join St. Jude ‘Won’t Stop’ in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we need one another, now more than ever. Instead of just preaching this via social media, country stars such as Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw are putting their fame to good use by teaming up for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s “We Won’t Stop” movement.

The goal of the campaign is to support the hospital’s essential mission of “advancing cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.”

Stars such as Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw are working together to encourage fans to donate to the campaign and become a “Partner in Hope.”

Amid the ongoing pandemic, families affected by cancer still have hefty medical bills, travel expenses and face struggles of food and housing. Donating to St. Jude is now more essential than ever.

As of Dec. 3, those who register as monthly donors will receive “We Won’t Stop” t-shirts as a thank you from hospitals around the country.

In a heartfelt Instagram video, McGraw encourages his followers to join him in the movement to help those affected by cancer, saying, “They can’t do it without our help.”

“@stjude is such a special place, and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. Become a partner in hope and get the new #StJudeWontStop tee at wewontstop.org.”

Luke Bryan & More Team Up Against Childhood Cancer

In addition, Luke Bryan and his wife also posted a message of their support via Instagram.

“We won’t stop supporting the fight against childhood cancer and @stjude’s mission! Join us in the fight and get yourself a shirt at wewontstop.org #Stjudewontstop.”

The nonprofit organization graciously replied to Bryan’s post.

“Thank you both for your longtime support! We are so grateful.”

In addition to Bryan and McGraw, other country stars who have signed up to be St. Jude Partners in Hope are Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, Little Big Town, Florida Georgia Line, Kelleigh Bannen, Tenille Townes, Jon Pardi, Lauren Alaina, and Chris Janson.

The financial stress due to the holiday season can be tough for some families. Adding on the pressure of a cancer diagnosis on a child can cause a significant emotional and financial impact on a family’s well-being. According to the St. Jude website, “donors have helped push the childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent.”

While 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, donors can positively impact a family by relieving the stress of medical bills. We can help end this year by remembering the true holiday spirit: it is better to give rather than receive.
