While some things last forever, Luke Combs’ first year of marriage to his wife Nicole Hocking seemed to fly. Today the couple celebrates their first wedding anniversary and Combs commemorated the date with a sweet post on his Instagram. “I can’t believe it’s been a year already,” he writes. “Time really does fly when you’re having fun!”

The “Forever After All” singer chose to share a more authentic snap from their wedding rather than one of the many formal photos captured during their ceremony and afterward. In it, we see the country star doubled over, his arm supporting his new bride, and laughing at something only the couple will remember this first anniversary.

Hocking’s dress is elegant and simple, with a tulle bottom and an elegant lace top with off-the-shoulder sleeves. The coronavirus pandemic forced the fun-loving couple to downsize their ceremony last year. We hope they can celebrate to the fullest extent this year as mask mandates are lifted and more places return to traditional habits of functioning.

Luke Combs’ ‘Forever After All’ Music Video Features Clips From His Actual Wedding

In an article published by Taste of Country, the music video for his hit song “Forever After All” features clips from his actual wedding to wife Nicole Hocking. The video emotionally shares the very special moment when Hocking walks down the aisle. It then shows the beer-loving country singer melting at the sight of his bride.

The video shows other heartfelt moments and photos from the couple’s life together pre-wedding. However, the actual wedding clips highlight the inspiration Combs takes from his wife in penning and performing his songs. “Forever After All” in a way, serves as a continuation of love and dedication to his partner from previous hits. “Beautiful Crazy” and “Better Together,” are the two that most directly tie into his recent hit. Both of which make a good fit for wedding day nuptials as well.

According to the article, the couple met before the country singer debuted on the music scene with “Hurricane” and other popular singles from his album This One’s For You. Combs shared that several of the tracks on the album were inspired by Hocking. Some even originated before the two started dating. “Beautiful Crazy” is one of the Hocking-inspired tracks written before the couple began their relationship.

During the 2019 CMA Awards, Combs shared that “Beautiful Crazy” narrates the couple’s love story and began a pattern of tracks dedicated to and inspired by his wife. After so many no. 1’s circulating the artist’s love for Hocking and the couple’s first year as husband and wife, Outsider wishes nothing but happiness for the country music star and his beautiful bride.
