Luke Combs Dedicates Heartfelt Love Song ‘Forever After All’ To Wife Nicole Hocking

Luke Combs is sharing a sweet message to his wife, Nicole Hocking, with his brand new song “Forever After All.” The country superstar dropped the new track on the deluxe version of his latest album What You See Ain’t Always What You Get.

In the heartfelt tune, Combs, 30, highlights all the little things that make him fall for his wife. Part of the lyrics read: “They say nothing lasts forever / But they ain’t seen us together / Or the way the moonlight dances in your eyes / Just a T-shirt in the kitchen / With no makeup and a million / Other things that I could look at my whole life / A love like that makes a man have second thoughts / Maybe some things last forever after all.”

Luke Combs Shares the Story Behind ‘Forever After All’

Earlier this week, Combs spoke out about the new tracks on his album. Specifically, he addressed writing “Forever After All,” and shared more of the story behind it.

“’Forever After All’ is the first song that I wrote in my house in Tennessee,” says Combs. “I wrote it with Rob Williford and Drew Parker. It’s one of those songs that we’ve been trying to hold back for a long time, and not play. We knew how much we loved it and how much we thought people would like it.”

He continued by explaining how excited he is to finally release the song. “So I’m glad that everybody’s finally gonna get a chance to hear it. It’s just kind of a continuance of the love story that you hear in ‘Beautiful Crazy’ and ‘Better Together,’” he told RADIO.COM.

Combs tied the knot with his wife Nicole on Aug. 1 in a Florida wedding ceremony. They began dating in 2016. The “Beer Can” crooner took to social media to share a touching post about his wife the day after their nuptials.

“Yesterday was the best day of my life. I got to marry my best friend. I love you @nicohocking, here’s to forever,” he captioned the snap.
