Concert season is back in full swing. Luke Combs is putting on outstanding shows like there’s been no time away at all.
Last night he was at Faster Horses Festival at the Michigan International Speedway. He recently shared a couple of photos of him that the festival posted on its Twitter account.
He wrote, “Michigan, what a night. I wanna come back next year!”
Faster Horses is a weekend-long event that started Friday, June 16, with a lot of rain, but an all-around good time.
Luke Combs was the headliner for the event. However, DeeJay Silver, Callista Clark, Carly Pearce, Chris Lane, and Jon Pardi all played on the main stage throughout the course of the day. There is the main stage for some of the biggest stars in country music, but also what is called the “Next from Nashville” stage as well.
This includes up-and-coming artists trying to be heard in the country music world. The other headliners include Jason Aldean and Thomas Rhett.
One fan tweeted a couple of photos from the crowd. She captioned the pictures, “The show was amazing!!!!!! You never disappoint!!!! And your wife is sooo sweet!!!! @nicolecombs.” The last photo was a selfie alongside Luke Combs’ wife, Nicole Combs.
According to Desert Sun, the lineup for Stagecoach 2022 has already been announced. Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Combs are the headliners for the popular festival. Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker, Orville Peck, Margo Price, The Black Crowes, and Smokey Robinson are some other highlights of the event.
Luke Combs Co-Wrote New Songs
On July 9, the Zac Brown Band shared two new songs. They are “Out in the Middle” and “Old Love Song.” The songs were co-written by both Zac Brown and Luke Combs.
“Getting to write with Luke Combs for the first time was great. He’s got great sensibility for parts and then singing along, man, what a voice. He’s got an incredible voice. So making a demo was very easy. It was really nice not to have to sing everything on the demo. And just little inflections on how he would do melody or how he would do things, it made a nice soup for all of our input together. Luke’s a great writer and of course he’s an amazing singer, and it was fun. I hope we do more together,” Zac Brown said on Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen.
Ben Simonetti and Jonathan Singleton also helped with writing. Luke Combs often writes or co-writes the majority of his songs. He spoke with the Grammy Museum for their “Behind the Songs Series” back in September 2020.
He mentioned that his song “Six Feet Apart” with Brent Cobb and Rob Snyder gave him a taste of what writing during COVID-19 is like.
“Me and Rob Snyder wrote a bunch of songs together. So I was dead set on us doing that [writing about quarantine]. Brent he lives in Georgia… we wrote on FaceTime actually, not even Zoom,” Combs said.
