Luke Combs Reveals He’s ‘Starting Record 3 Tomorrow,’ Thanks Fans for Birthday Wishes

Luke Combs fans, it’s officially time to celebrate. The Rising country music star revealed in a Tuesday tweet that he is in the studio working on a new album.

Combs turned 31-year-old on Tuesday and his social media was flooded with fans wishing the singer a happy birthday. In addition to thanking fans for the birthday wishes, he says he is working on album number three starting today (Wednesday).

“Thanks for all the birthday wishes today y’all!” he says in the Tuesday social media post. “Means a lot. Already had an awesome day. Starting record 3 tomorrow.”

Country music fans are obviously thrilled with the news that Combs will soon be offering up new music. His post racked up tens of thousands of like as well as taking in countless comments from his adoring fans.

Luke Combs is Climbing the Country Music Ranks

Combs’ country music star is certainly on the rise as he continues expanding his already impressive fan base. Since breaking into the country music industry, the “Forever After All” singer has steadily climbed the ranks.

The singer-songwriter has put out two albums to date with each garnering a wild amount of success. His first studio album “This One’s For You” hit the public in June 2017. It was the number one album on country music album charts for 50 straight weeks, a record for a male artist in this particular chart. The album includes three hit singles, including “Hurricane,” “When it Rains it Pours” and “One Number Away.” “Hurricane” reached the top overall spot on the Country Airplay charts.

Combs’ sophomore effort came in 2019 with “What You See is What You Get.” Like his first record, the album did incredibly well for the singer, boosting him further up the country music ranks. The album saw five different singles obtain the top spot on the Billboard Country Airplay charts. The album includes hits “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” “Even Though I am Leaving” and “Lovin on You.”

Despite only putting out just two studio albums to date, Combs has quickly risen to prominence in the country music field. He already has two Grammy Award nominations and won the Country Music Association’s New Artist of the Year award in 2018.
