While enjoying some much-needed time away from his busy country music schedule, Luke Combs shared on his Instagram account some snapshots of his most recent hunting trip.

“Man what a week,” Luke Combs declares in the social media post. “Don’t get much better than this. Good friends, good food, and good hunting. Even wrote a damn good song.”

Luke Combs recently celebrated the end of his “What You See is What You Get” tour. He shared in an Instagram post that it took more than two years of setbacks to get through the tour. “This was the funnest, scariest, most rewarding, most stressful musical experience of my life,” Combs declared. “And I’d do it all over again tomorrow.”

Combs went on to state that he thanks his fans who spent their money, waiting all the time through all the insanity of the past two years. “You are the reason we get to do things like this and I hope we came close to putting on the show you deserve.”

Combs then thanked his tour team. This includes the band, crew, management, agents, bus drivers, venue staff, catering, local stage crew, and sponsors. “I know how hard each of you worked and how much you all sacrificed to make these shows happen every night and that is something I will never forget.”

In regards to the final people who wished to thank, Combs showed some appreciation for his wife, Nicole as well as friends and family. “This tour finally closes the long strange chapter of my last album.”

Luke Combs Shares the Details Behind His Latest Single ‘Doin’ This’

During a recent interview with CMT, Luke Combs opened up about the story behind his latest single, Doin’ This. “We were sitting in the man cave at my house, and we couldn’t come with anything to write about. We were on the back porch talking. And I get asked in interviews a lot, ‘What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this.’”

Luke Combs then stated he always jokes without music, he would be homeless. But he also admits there also isn’t a “Plan B” for him. “Once I decided that this is what I was going to do, it was at this level or at the level that I was at when I started. I would be chasing this (entertainer of the year trophy) if I wasn’t holding it in my hand right now. I’ll always be doing that.”

Combs goes on to add that music gets his and everyone else’s blood pumping. “It gets them out of bed in the morning. To be able to write a song about that that you feel genuinely connects with some of your peers is really cool.”
