When a celebrity takes the time to talk with fans, it is always a nice gesture. However, Luke Combs took it a step further with one fan in particular. At a recent show, Combs met a fan battling cancer. While at the show, the two shared a drink and some conversation, and afterward, Combs sent a touching message to the fan.

Recently while on his What You See is What You Get tour, Luke Combs made a stop to Canandaigua, New York for a couple of shows. Over at the Constellation Brands – Marvin Sands Performing Art Center, Combs played shows on Thursday the 5th and Friday the 6th. One fan in the crowd apparently had just found out his cancer had returned after five years of remission.

While some artists would retweet a fan and leave it at that, Combs went further than that simple gesture. The two apparently shared a drink together either during or after the show. With well wishes for the man and his family, Combs did retweet the man’s daughter who thanked the country singer.

There isn’t much better than getting to share a drink and speak with one of your favorite country artists. Kudos to Luke Combs for reaching out to the fan and taking the time to get to know him a bit. Cancer is a hard and tough battle that can come and go, unfortunately. Hopefully, the fan is able to beat it back into remission, and as Luke said, “keep fighting the good fight.”

Luke Combs Stays on Top

This has been quite the year for Luke Combs. He recently debuted Cold As You for radio play and has had a number of other remarkable moments. As far as big moves that the artist has made, his song South On Ya was featured in a college football hype video ahead of the NCAA season. With the SEC Network growing stronger by the day, perhaps the song will be all over TV this fall.

When he isn’t helping his parents retire early, or celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife, Luke Combs is performing and releasing music. This year, he will be honored at the ACM Honors for his double-platinum success with What You See Is What You Get, and This One’s For You. Those albums have been insanely successful and have shot Combs to the top of the country music scene.

There isn’t much that Luke Combs can’t do it seems. While the success has been immense, stories like the one above show that Combs has stayed humble. Being able to take the time to connect with a fan for an unforgettable memory like that takes more than being a talented performer. Hopefully, Combs can enjoy a drink with the fan next time he swings through town.
