Luke Combs Wrote ‘Forever After All’ For His Wife
The deluxe version features the song “Forever After All” plus four new songs. According to People, Combs dedicated the song to his wife Nicole Hocking. The couple recently wedded in August in a ceremony on a Florida beach. “Cold As You,” “The Other Guy,” “My Kinda Folk” and “Without You” are the other additional songs Combs added to the album.
“‘Forever After All’ is the first song that I wrote in my house in Tennessee,” Combs said in a press release. “I wrote it with Rob Williford and Drew Parker, and it’s one of those songs that we’ve been trying to hold back for a long time and not play, and we knew how much we loved it and how much we thought people would like it, so I’m glad that everybody’s finally going to get a chance to hear it. It’s just kind of a continuance of that love story that you’ve heard in ‘Beautiful Crazy’ and ‘Better Together.’”
The album features 18 songs by Combs and released on Oct. 23. Combs released the initial version of the album in November 2019. The album went platinum and to No.1 on the charts.
