Tortuga Music Festival Promotes Ocean Awareness
Hosted by the Rock The Ocean Foundation, the 3-day, multi-stage music extravaganza aims to raise funds promoting ocean awareness. Additionally, the event supports advances in marine conservation and research.
Festival attendees can learn more about ocean conservation efforts onsite at Rock The Ocean’s Conservation Village. The Village offers an array of exhibits including interactive games, cooking exhibitions, the latest ocean technology, and more. Concertgoers are also encouraged to learn how they can help make a difference.
The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focuses on 5 core values: turtle conservation, shark conservation, coral reef degradation, overfishing, and Marine Pollution. A portion of ticket sales is donated to the Rock The Ocean Foundation each year. As a result, the event has raised over $2,000,000 in funds donated to over 60 partners in ocean conservation. Additionally, efforts have provided support to 5 universities as well as sponsored research in the United States, Bahamas, and Asia.
