Country music star Maren Morris was a big winner this week at the annual CMA Awards show and ceremony. After performing on one of country music’s biggest stages, Morris took home several awards that place her at the top of the country music pecking order. On Wednesday, she won Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the year for “The Bones.”
While Morris is certainly proud of her big accomplishments, it is one small accomplishment that has her excited the most. She and husband, Ryan Hurd, had their first child earlier this year, a boy, named Hayes Andrew. Now the proud mother and father are expecting their infant son to get a move on.
Morris Expects Son to Begin Crawling Soon
In a recent interview with Taste of Country, Morris says she expects little Hayes Andrew to become mobile in the coming days.
“Any day now, he is going to crawl,” Morris says in the interview. “He has been up on his hands and knees rocking back and forth. He is so close to moving forward with some momentum. Any day now, he’ll be a crawler.”
The couple is bracing for their sons new found mobility much like all new parents do, making sure their home is as toddler safe as can be. Morris says Hayse Andrew has already collected a large amount of possessions despite being months away from his first birthday.
“It’s funny how much crap an infant acquires over time,” she says. “Add what the grandparents give you, and it’s just…oh my gosh, it’s everywhere. I’m trying, because I’m kind of a neat freak, to just collect it every morning, but it ends up just exploding everywhere.”
With Christmas just around the corner, it is likely baby Hayse Andrew will enter 2021 with even more stuff.
