Do you know these five underrated Miranda Lambert songs?

We all know Lambert’s number one hits songs like “The House That Built Me,” and “Somethin’ Bad.” However, Lambert has a number of musical gems that aren’t quite as well known. Here’s our list of Miranda Lambert’s top 5 most underrated songs.

5.) New Strings

A single from Lambert’s debut 2005 album, Kerosene, “New Strings” is about packing up and starting a new life. During the song, Lambert sings about doing all the things she was told were impossible by an ex-partner.

“I bet this road will take me out of here. Take me far away from Amarillo. I bet this car will go real fast. The wheels might even drive me past the places that you said I’d never go.”

4.) Miranda Lambert’s “More Like Her”

Many of us know what it’s like to compare ourselves to someone our ex is dating. However, Lambert offers a new spin on the traditional comparisons. She sarcastically sings about how maybe she should have been “more like her,” as she lists the ways another woman is able to look past her ex’s lies.

The real beauty of the song comes from the back and forth Lambert demonstrates. One moment, it seems that Lambert really does believe that maybe she should be more like this other woman. In the next moment, Lambert seems to know that relationship ended for good reasons.

During the song, Lambert sings, “Forgiving you, well, she’s stronger than I am. You don’t look much like a man from where I’m at. It’s plain to see desperation showed it’s truth. You love her, and she loves you with all she has. I guess I should’ve been more like that.”

3.) Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Although it only reached the number 50 spot on the Billboard charts, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” is right in line with Lambert’s fierce and high-paced country songs. The song is about all the things Lambert will do as a crazy ex-girlfriend.

During the song, Lambert sings, “It took me 5 bars, some 30 license plates. I saw her mustang and my eyes filled up with rage.
I brought my pistol but I ain’t some kinda fool…Well them pretty girls can play their games but they’re damn well gonna know my name. I’m a crazy ex-girlfriend.”

2.) “We Should Be Friends”

The song is about meeting someone, bonding over all your messy traits, and then realizing “we should be friends.” It really is an anthem for the beginnings of the best friendships.

Lambert sings, “If your mind’s as cluttered as your kitchen sink, if your heart’s as empty as your diesel tank. If all your white t-shirts have stains, if you’ve got some guts and got some ink. Well then, we should be friends.”

“All Comes Out In The Wash”

Who doesn’t want to throw their mistakes in the washing machine and have them all rinsed away? Well, that’s exactly what Miranda sings about in her song “It All Comes Out In The Wash.” The song is about letting “every little stain, every little heartbreak,” every messy mistake, wash away.

Lambert sings, “It’ll all come out, all come out in the wash. Every little stain, every little heartbreak, no matter how messy it got. You take the sin and the men and you throw ’em all in. And then you put that sucker on spin.”
