Fans of country music star Miranda Lambert are rejoicing as the singer and songwriter will soon have new music out.
Miranda Lambert’s latest project, “The Marfa Tapes” is due out next month. The album is a collaboration between Lambert and fellow artists Jon Randall and Jack Ingram. The full album expects its release to occur on May 7 via Vanner Records and RCA Nashville. The album is a move away from the norm for Lambert as the songs for the album were recorded in the small west Texas town that bears the album’s name. Marfa, Texas has a population of just under 2,000 residents and its location is between the Davis Mountains and Big Bend National Park.
In promotion of her new album, Miranda Lambert is also releasing a film regarding the making of “The Marfa Tapes.” She describes the film as “really raw” and an “intimate journey” that she hopes country music fans will enjoy. Lambert took to social media on Thursday to share the exciting news with her fans. The Instagram post contains a brief clip from the upcoming film about “The Marfa Tapes.”
“Announcing The Marfa Tapes film,” Miranda Lambert says in the Thursday morning social media post. “A really raw and intimate journey through the making of our record, ‘The Marfa Tapes.’ It premieres on May 8 on my Facebook Page.”
Miranda Lambert Fans Express Excitement Over New Film
Not long after the post appears on her Instagram page, Miranda Lambert fans sound off on their excitement level for the film. Lambert, who is extremely popular on social media, certainly has a large and loyal fan base.
“Yes! I was just thinking yesterday while listening to Geraldine that I’d hoped you filmed the whole thing!” a Lambert fan exclaims.
“Geraldine” is one of Miranda Lambert’s single releases from “The Marfa Tapes” and the song is doing quite well for the country star. Music lovers compare the song to that of the Dolly Parton song “Jolene,” which Parton put out in 1974.
Fans of Miranda Lambert are super excited about what “The Marfa Tapes” contain. The album has new recordings of her hit songs “Tin Man” and “Tequilla Does.”
“The Marfa Tapes” comes as a surprise from the country singer, announcing the album just last month. Since then, the excitement continues to build as the album is now only days away from its full release.
