Miranda Lambert “guesses” it was love at first sight when she laid eyes on her now husband. In honor of the couples second wedding anniversary, we’re taking a look back at how it started for the couple.

Where Did Miranda Lambert Meet Brendan McLoughlin

The singer-songwriter actually met Brendan McLoughlin on the set of “Good Morning America” in November 2018. He was working security for the morning show. Lambert was there with her girl group, Pistol Annies. They were doing press for their new album at the time Interstate Gospel.

“My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone. They invited him to our show behind my back,” Lambert said, according to Taste of Country. “They plucked him for me. My security guy Tom, he was in on it too. He said to me, ‘He’s here. And he’s pretty.'” Before there was McLoughlin, Lambert was “hanging out” with Anderson East and Even Felker in 2018.

When Lambert was asked if it was love at first sight when she saw the security guard, she told PEOPLE, “I guess so. If that’s a thing,” before joking, “I have eight dogs and had love at first sight with them, too. Must be easier than I thought!”

Their whirlwind romance lasted three months before they decided to tie the knot. They married in a small, secret ceremony on Jan. 26, 2019. The “Bluebird” singer announced their nuptials on Valentine’s Day 2019.

“Now the Pistol Annies have three husbands, two ex-husbands, three children, a stepson and 23 animals. We’ve done a lot in nine years!” she said in 2019.

Lambert and McLoughlin Now

Miranda Lambert’s new beau might’ve let her have the spotlight at first, but now, he’s become a celebrity in his own right. McLoughlin is in Lambert’s “Settling Down” music video.

Lambert told Bobby Bones in an interview that she was including her husband in her music video, with or without his permission.

“I’m casting you as the video babe. You’re here and you’re going to do it.”

“I mean I kind of had to,” Lambert said. “I didn’t want to rob the world of that. If you have that (abs, body) you should use it. I don’t, so I don’t.”

As a matter of fact, the former New York City Police Officer has even created his own Instagram account. Lambert’s husband often posts photos of his beautiful bride on his account. He only has 14 posts but that didn’t stop him from growing his fan base. McLoughlin has more than 62-thousand followers.

However, from time to time, McLoughlin will show off his toned physique. But that’s only if he’s promoting something, will he post an image of himself on his own social media account.
