We have all heard the tragic break-up stories, but how about some good news? Miranda Lambert finally opens up on what led to her marriage with Brendan McLoughlin.

This isn’t country music star Miranda Lambert’s first time down the aisle. From 2011 until their split in 2015, she was hitched to Blake Shelton, who has also managed to find love again.

According to Country Living, Miranda Lambert had been dating a bit since her divorce. But it wasn’t until 2018 when she was blindly set up with an NYPD officer who was working security at her show before she saw sparks.

“My husband was doing security there for the show. My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone,” she told the New York Times. “They invited him to our show behind my back.”

In January of 2019, 37-year-old Miranda Lambert and her 29-year-old boo officially tied the knot. She credits their brief dating period for their close relationship.

Not typically how it works, but hey, good for you, Miranda! We are rooting for your happiness!

Miranda Lambert Spills on Quick Marriage

On Thursday, the country artist made an appearance on SiriusXM. Miranda Lambert explained that the trick to her happy marriage thus far was cutting everyone else out and focusing on just McLoughlin.

“We didn’t date very long before we got married. We sort of got to just really, really, really get to know each other. It was just us two with no distraction at my farm outside of Nashville. And so, I was really thankful for it.”

In January, Lambert and McLoughlin celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

This indicates that the couple survived a lengthy quarantine with just each other company. Something many people in the music industry aren’t typically blessed with.

If they aren’t tired of each other after that, then we have a good feeling about this one.

“A lot of my friends don’t really see their significant other because we’re in different directions all the time. With everything that happened last year, I think everybody was forced to sort of reconnect with themselves and with people that they really love and that are close to them.”

In addition, Miranda Lambert gave some insight into the making of her music video “Settling Down,” which features Brendan McLoughlin.

“I’ve never had a video in 18 years in the business with a love interest, and so it’s kinda funny that my husband’s my first one.”
