Miranda Lambert Drops Exclusive 24-Hour Only Premiere of ‘The Marfa Tapes’ Film

Country music superstar Miranda Lambert is giving her fans and followers a rare glimpse into just how she put together The Marfa Tapes.

Along with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, Miranda Lambert is using a 24-hour exclusive premiere to dive into the team’s creative process. There is no question, that their upcoming album, The Marfa Tapes, has been highly anticipated now for some time.

But to the pleasant surprise of all country fans, the upcoming album also features a full-length film. That premiered on Saturday evening, at 7 p.m. ET.

“The official premiere of Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall’s film for their new record ‘The Marfa Tapes,’ Lambert wrote on her official Facebook page. “The film will give y’all a rare glimpse inside the making of the record. It’ll take place right here on Facebook and will only be available for 24 hours.”

The film was directed by Spencer Peeples and comes with live performances set in west Texas. It also includes never-before-seen interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage captured while The Marfa Tapes album was being recorded. Although Marfa, Texas, is somewhat of a desolate location, the trio has been using it as a haven for writing songs. The entire album was recorded with just a pair of microphones and an acoustic guitar.

And there is no question that fans so far have been blown away by the premiere.

“Love this so much! Wish it didn’t have to end,” one user commented. “Could have watched all night. Beautifully done. Touched my heart and my soul.”

Another fan took to Twitter to express her thoughts.

“#TheMarfaTapesFilm best hour of TV I’ve watched in weeks!” the fan shared. “Beautifully raw and honest.”

Miranda Lambert Takes Fans With Her Down to West Texas in New Film

Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall had a location in mind when they decided to record their newest album. You’ll notice that in some of the lyrics, like when they cite Texas in the lead single “In His Arms.”

Meanwhile, Lambert had previously posted to social media, letting her fans know to expect the film’s premiere.

“Announcing The Marfa Tapes Film. A really raw and intimate journey through the making of our record, #TheMarfaTapes. Premieres May 8th on my Facebook page,” Lambert wrote at the time.
