Miranda Lambert Forced to Reschedule Lake Tahoe Concert Due to Wildfires: ‘Wish We Could Come See Y’all’

Country music star Miranda Lambert hoped to give Lake Tahoe residents a bit of reprieve from their recent plight with wildfires. However, she can’t make it happen. The singer announced her concert in the popular California spot will have to be postponed.

Moreover, the postponement will be almost a year from now. In a recent post to Twitter, Lambert shared the heartbreaking news.

The concert, which was scheduled for this Thursday, Sept. 2 will be rescheduled for July 28, 2022.

“Lake Tahoe! We wish we could come see y’all Thursday, but the fires are making conditions unsafe. Show is rescheduled for 7.28.22. Tickets will be honored. If you can’t attend the new date, you can request a refund for a 30day period from today,” Miranda Lambert wrote in a tweet.

She also posted a link so fans could get more info on the event and what to do with their tickets.

She will continue her tour across the country Sept. 4 in Laughlin, Nevada. The artist has been touring across the country with at least five more cities to visit now that Lake Tahoe is out.

The region was plagued with bad air quality in addition to the major Caldor Fire, which has been blazing since Aug. 14. Officials in the region hoped the fire could be contained before it reached Lake Tahoe, however, the fire threatened both tourism and residential homes in recent weeks.

Additionally, city officials warned that visitors should also reschedule their plans ahead of what is usually a busy Labor Day weekend. The wildfire spread across more than 114,000 acres. It has decimated everything in its path, displacing residents.

Miranda Lambert Hints at New Album

While the seasoned star is far from a new artist, she continues to hustle like one. In addition to her current tour schedule, the artist is not taking any time off of new projects.

She recently opened up her own restaurant Casa Rosa in Nashville. Located along the busy section of Broadway, the artist’s restaurant boasts tequila, tacos and music. She’s also known to frequent the spot when she can. It’s an endeavor she says she’s really proud of.

As if a tour and new restaurant don’t keep her busy enough, Lambert is staying busy writing music. She collaborated with country’s new hot artist Morgan Wallen on his single “Thought You Should Know”. She additionally worked with Texas country’s own Parker McCollum. Lambert helped write music on McCollum’s “Gold Chain Cowboy” album, which was recently released.

 “It’s really fun, too, to write with other artists… It’s a whole different perspective,” the “Gunpowder and Lead” singer said.

It’s safe to say the performer has a busy year ahead, with tons of prospects well into 2022.
