Miranda Lambert Is Getting ‘#Drunk’ in New Teaser with Pop Superstar

Country superstar Miranda Lambert teases her new song collaboration with a “drunk” Twitter photo.

Elle King and Miranda Lambert shared a photo on social media today. The two are leaning against what looks like a vintage car. Elle King is wearing an ’80s-style wedding dress while smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer. Miranda is wearing what looks like a metallic-pink bridesmaid gown. Her hair is in full 80s blown-out fashion and decorated with baby’s breath.

Along with the photo, Miranda wrote, “@ElleKingMusic #Drunk”

Elle King also shared a photo of herself with Miranda Lambert on her social media pages. Again, the two seem to be donning their best 80s fashion. This time, they are both wearing pastel blazers. Miranda has a perm and long dangly earrings. Elle has light pink hair and baby blue eye shadow to match her blazer.

Along with the photo, Elle wrote, “The whiskey goes down better when they don’t know who you are…#DRUNK”

Is Miranda Lambert Collaborating With Elle King?

Although neither artist has confirmed the news, all signs point to yes! To further confirm our suspicions we have a few pieces of evidence. First, although Elle King isn’t entirely considered a country artist herself, she’s definitely been influenced by the country genre. During an interview, Elle once talked about the way music writers struggle to define her genre because “I don’t have both feet in the country world.”

Nevertheless, Elle has always seemed to end up in the country music world. In 2016 Elle teamed up with Dierks Bentley to release the song “Different For Girls.” So, we know Elle’s a fan of country collaborations. Elle also toured with Miranda Lambert on the Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour. Elle even worked with Miranda, Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes, and Caylee Hammack for “Fooled Around and Fell In Love.” The song won the Academy of Country Music Award for Vocal Event of the Year.

In conclusion, Elle King has always had at least one foot in the country music world. Now, with this potential collaboration with Miranda Lambert, we’re hoping Elle dives fully into the country music genre.
