Miranda Lambert to Gift $1,000 to 20 Animal Shelters Through MuttNation’s ‘Share the Love’ Campaign

by Maria Hartfield

Country music star Miranda Lambert and her nonprofit MuttNation are donating upwards of $20k to animal shelters. Miranda’s love for animals has always played an important role in her life. Ever since adopting her first pup, Delilah, from a local shelter, she’s been a dedicated advocate for animals.

A total of twenty shelters will receive a $1,000 grant from MuttNation. Each contribution is donated on behalf of individuals who have volunteered at their local shelters between February 1, 2021, and January 30, 2022.

By definition, an animal advocate believes in the right of animals to exist without fear of abuse, exploitation, or extermination. Miranda and her mom Bev Lambert founded MuttNation in 2009 hoping to bring attention to rescue animals and shelters.

The Story Behind Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation

MuttNation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that encourages individuals to volunteer, foster, or adopt. In addition, the charity works to promote advanced spay and neuter options and why it’s important. Their ultimate goal is to find a forever home for every shelter animal across the country while raising awareness for shelter adoption experience. The foundation also helps transport partners to assist in relocating animals in the instance of a natural disaster.

Miranda began her animal advocacy journey when she started volunteering at rescues as a teenager.

“I always tell people who want to help that volunteering, fostering, and adopting are so important to every shelter. Even if you’re not in a position to adopt, maybe you have time to foster or volunteer? It all makes such a big difference,” she said.

Lambert’s Annual ‘Share The Love’ Campaign

The annual ‘Share The Love’ campaign is now in its fourth year. The effort started with a selection of 5 volunteers or shelters and now has proudly expanded to naming twenty in the coming year. In order to qualify, registrants must have volunteered, fostered, or adopted an animal between February 1, 2021, through January 30, 2022.

Interested participants can register here. In addition to the $1,000 donation, selected registrants will also receive a hand-signed Miranda Lambert CD.

“I feel so passionately about helping all animals,” said Miranda. “The people at these shelters do such amazing work day in and day out and are truly heroes for the animals.”

‘Share The Love’ is just one of the many fundraisers the 38-year-old musician hosts. Others include her annual Cause for the Paws and her Mutts Across America: 50 States / 50 Shelters initiatives.

Happy Birthday Miranda Lambert

Lambert recently celebrated her 38th birthday with an entourage of close friends and family. Originally from Lindale, Texas, Miranda grew up performing locally as a teenager.

Although she didn’t take home any awards at the CMA’s this year, there was still plenty to celebrate after her jaw-dropping medley performance at the event.
